Film devlopment
We decided that we wanted to have a chase included into our task. One of our team members suggested that we have a villain chasing an innocent person, someone we would refer to as “The Hunter”. The back story is that The Hunter stalks a family at a time killing each member one by one. Our protagonists would be the last of his family to die at the hands of The Hunter. We aim to show this through dialogue, saying something like “Your next” or “Your the last one”.
During the two minutes will only see two characters The Hunter and the protagonists.
As a group we want our task to evoke feelings of tension and demonstrate danger, we hope to do this through using camera and sound.
Camera Ideas
Some soundtrack examples
I feel that long shots and mid shot will add to the drama as you wont be able to see the protoganists face properly, however a close-up could demonstrate emotion- his determination to to surrive. At the end when the hunted dies it will be the first and last time they are in the same shot together, and it will show the hunter killing him.

Here is our idea for our final task and how we came up with it:

For filming, we decieded that we wanted to have more then one location. Each memory is in a different location to make the story more believable , it also makes the film a little more intresting.(no longer used)
Down below are some of our location ideas, click through the examples

Final location
In the end we decided to go with Embankment, as our test shots in Hackney Downs didn't turn out as we wanted them too. The emptiness of the park wasn't as striking as a busy area, the park also looked rather cliche and none of the team liked it. A busy location almost demonstrates the Hunter power, he doesn't care where he attacks.

Storyboarding
My group has formulated a range of different storyboards (as shown below). We have been working really hard to formulate a storyboard that the whole team agrees on and are happy in producing as our final piece. As we have drafted more and more storyboard it is becoming clearer at the effect and impact we want to achieve.

Click on the images to get a better view.

This was the first storyboard we formulated, at this time we had the idea of incorporating flashbacks into the task, however during our pitch we found that many people found this confusing and thought that it would work as a title sequence, so we decided later on to eliminate this idea. We also changed the title since then to suit our new idea and plan better. As you can see detail is lacking, as at the time we were extremely unsure of what to do and what direction we wanted to take.

Our second storyboard has more detail, however is very short but again as you will see that as time went on our groups ideas increased at were put in motion.

This was the third draft however not the final, this was the last draft before our final draft that we will use in our task. This storyboard has detail however some elements such as the flashbacks are no longer is what our team wanted to Incorporate into our task, based on the fact that it complicates the story and as the task is opening, we found that most movie opening are not complicated and do not reveal too much of the story.

Titles
Brainstorming title names, this was the first time we began decieding on a title for our task

We then decided on “The Hunter” as the title explains to the audience who he is without us having to explain, the title is concise and effective at hinting at the plot all in the first two minutes. It also has a sister tone to it helping it achieve the action/thriller genre.
The idea was suggested by a team member during a media lesson in the early stages, and we all agreed on it.
