Task Organisation

Actors

For the sake of keeping things simple we opted to use people we already knew to cast in the title credit.  It was also usefull as we had wanted to cast teenagers to play the role in order to identify with the target audience of our "film" who are also teenagers/young adults. We also casted males, as although the target audience isnt spefically male, the genre research I carried out ( questionaires and internet research) indicated that action/thriller movies tend to attract more males then females.

.

We casted : George Pearson as "The Hunter"

                  Matthew Johnston as the protagonist.

Costume

As the protagonist is a teenage boy just out and about, it is only appropriate that he would be dressed in causal clothing such as the pictures below -

For The Hunter we wanted to have him dressed in hunting clothing however based on the location and time of day it seemed more appropriate for him also to be dressed casually. In modern thriller/action movies the serial killer is also often dressed casually. Yet we still wanted to encorporate some "Hunter" style clothing so we opted for a khaki jacket as it combines the two. We also had plans to use a gun but as we filmed at Embankment where there was lots of people present so  we thought it wise not to, in order to avoid confusion and scaring people. Using a knife also would of had the same effect so we opted to going for an elbow to the face.

Location

As showed to you before we had many location ideas, yet after the test shots we ruled out any isolated location as we did not like how it looked (cliche). We went for embankment as it was a busy location but would not be as busy as a location like Camden. Embankment also had a lift where we were able to film inside and had long streches of pavement so that we could film the running scene. Down below are some pictures :
